I've been using it for a few weeks so no long term reviews here but I really like it so far. I had a Saeco Super Auto, so in comparison: 1) The Delonghi looks much more sophisticated overall. 2) The controls are intuitively simple and large enough and logically arranged. 3) I like that you can easily see the water level and it holds. lots of water - I don't have an issue with the height, but note that it's high given the location of your water source. 4) The bean hopper seems to hold more and/or allows the beans to flow better than the Saeco5) The coffee maker's grinder and mechanism stay clean and leave less mess. It just seems like a more advanced component. 6) The used disc bin has more volume and also holds accidental dirt to keep the inside clean as it is emptied less frequently. The water bowl is good, although I always have a spare cup on it to catch jets of cleaning. 7) I like the more limited control over the strength of the brew. Now I bought this because I needed another one and I wanted a foam stick on it. so I have no comparison. However, as a beginner I was able to get a good lather on my 3rd or 4th try after looking at some articles and videos online. Based on that, the propellant seems to me to be working quite well and giving a hot exit. It can also provide hot water, although I haven't tried making americano or anything like that. I use hot water to clean it. Speaking of cleaning: both the outer frothing tube and the inner lid of the teat can be easily removed for rinsing/cleaning. I don't know if all sticks are like this but they seem to have a good design. Okay, from what has been said, I bought it on sale for $500 and think it's great quality and value for the price. I don't know if it will ever be as high as the "original" price which is currently listed at $899, but I have no doubt that it ranks higher than other $900 coffeemakers. In addition, for those who are concerned about appearance. It's not all stainless steel, but it feels strong with a springy look, and the steel components feel just as strong. Black surfaces can show water droplets, but I usually just wipe down the front (to remove splatter) after each use and don't see a problem.
