I had annoying dandruff for years, no matter which shampoo/conditioner I used. My new dermatologist recommended using Nizoral AD, Neutrogena T/Sal, and Selsun Blue Cycle with aloe. I rotated shampoos every day (e.g. Day 1 Selsun Blue, Day 2 Neutrogena, Day 3 Nizoral, etc.). My dandruff disappeared within a month and has not reappeared. The shampoos are expensive but they solved my problem when used in combination. I don't remember everything my dermatologist said, but basically each shampoo targets a different phase of the cycle that causes dandruff, giving the scalp time to recover and get back to normal. For the same reason, they do not work individually and must be used in a rotating cycle.
