Just got back from a trip where I needed safety pins, needle and thread and didn't have any. This set has everything I need and more including two sizes of safety pins and a very nice set of pins in a small plastic case. You just twist the little hole to the part where you need what you need and the needle comes out (just like other needle sets I've bought before). There is a wide range of different types of needles and I had no problem threading one of the smallest (without using a needle threader). This is an inexpensive standard filament, but it comes in 10 different colors and you can easily wind higher quality filament onto small spools if you want. The scissors worked better than I expected, neatly cutting the thread and paper. I'm so happy with this I'm buying a few more to give to those who travel.
