To be honest the sock is comfortable, I felt the compression was what I was looking for. I had no problem with them being too loose. The problem I had was that after one wash, each pair had a hole in them the second wear. The first hole, I just said ha, I'm wondering what I hooked it for and taking full responsibility, I didn't ask the manufacturer. I ordered 2 sets (14 socks) which I only wear to work 5 days a week and to be honest I was on vacation for a week so out of 14 pairs I put on 15-17, threw away 5 pairs. The heel gets a hole. The sock gets a hole. I don't like holes in my socks....Call me a sock snob if you will, but I like my socks to be uniform, hole-free, and generally presentable. You never know who will see your socks! These socks would make great disposable socks!
