Review on 🍚 Cuckoo CRP-P1009SB: Premium Pressure Rice Cooker with 12 Menu Options - Made in Korea by Robert Norris

I really like this rice cooker. There are many inconsistencies in the results of rice cooking. And if you eat a lot of jasmine rice, I don't think this is the best cooker for that. It works very well with brown and GABA rice, as well as short grain rice. It's no good for that particular crispy ground rice, which is chewy rather than crunchy, and I don't think it's good for my tooth enamel. The pressure block does not appear to be working properly. At first it will be silent while boiling until the pressure is released, but now it will only boil when the drain valve is practically open by itself. The inner steel plate, removable for cleaning, is coated in very short silicone and is difficult to remove without using a dry grip cloth. The same plate often falls into the rice while cooking, so I don't think the silicone seal that fixes it while cooking is suitable. I hate opening my rice cooker to see this plate sitting right on top of my rice. There are many little annoying features that just don't work. I also hate when my rice turns gray. It only happens sometimes so I don't know why. Maybe I'm not washing the rice enough. But I've never had gray rice with any other cooker in my entire life as a rice cooker. So I'm concerned about chemicals that might be in my gray rice. I've had this cooker for over a month now and compared to my old Zojirushi fuzzy logic rice cooker I like rice better in my old cooker. The good thing about the new Cuckoo is its speed and it cooks good brown rice and GABA rice much better with the high pressure. But we don't eat brown rice that often. I'm thinking of replacing it again with Zojirushi and saving it for when I need to make brown rice. Overall pretty disappointing. The cuckoo does two things better that my old stove was lacking, but I don't know if that was enough to affect the quality of the white (not gray) rice.
