Dead display on Denon AVR-X1100w. Do not buy!

Denon AVR-x1100w receiver I had an Onkyo receiver for a few years to set up my 7.1 speakers. Before buying, I looked at different models for several weeks. Spent many hours in a special thread of the respected forum Av. Everyone loves this model. At first I was happy, but after a few years I started having problems, and then it just stopped. Came back to this forum Av and found that my problem is very common. Why wasn't this shown before I bought it? Last September (2014) I started looking again for the best receiver for me. Went back to the same Av site and checked the Revain reviews. I decided the Denon AVR-X1100w was the perfect receiver for me. Everyone seemed to love it for what I wanted. I bought it, tuned it, added a wonderful subwoofer and was as happy as a meatball in a spaghetti shop. After six months of ownership, the screen died. just died Didn't warn. Didn't text me or anything. just died Came back to the Av location to ask for help thinking I had pressed the wrong button on the remote. I've received replies telling me what to do as there are ways to turn off the display. But when I replied that this was not the problem, I received replies that implied that I was wrong. Well, dogs are my cats, I think I'm dumb! The unit still makes good sound and the TV screen still works but the digital display is still missing but I still use it. Now a few months later I go back to the Av website and yes, yes vu again, everyone is having the same problem. Check out the Revain reviews here for a common issue here as well. Obviously this model and similar Denon models are crap. guarantees. So my advice. Stay away from the Denon AVR-X1100w and similar models. The Denon has a new one now, but I won't go near it either. But I am. However, I would like a working receiver. Any suggestions
