Update about 8 months later (04/27/21): So the latest version of swarm is finally running smoothly (no hub required). I've turned off automatic updates and am now testing updates on a random computer before installing new versions. 5* from me. My caps work great too. I use it every day and wipe it down with diluted isopropyl alcohol to clean it from time to time and nothing peels or rubs off so people either scratch their keys while typing or there is a quality control issue that isn't for everyone model applies. Based on my great customer experience I would still advise people who are hesitant to buy it as they will respond to fix/replace it. Update about 6 months later: To make it short, I left the keyboard because the keys are great and the lighting didn't bother me. I've also found that if I plugged the KB and mouse into a powered USB hub and left the hub powered on, it saved the profiles and prevented crashes. There was no support through Swarm, but when I contacted Roccat directly, they responded the next day and I received a replacement mouse within a week. So I upgraded from 1 to 3*s. In terms of hardware, this keyboard is a 5, the software still needs some work, it has gotten better, especially with the powered hub. Original: I prefer membrane keyboards, but Roccat looks great so I had to try it. I really like the keycaps, they are very flat. The lighting is bright and very personal. It's relatively quiet with a tactile punch. Some people complain about the wear on the keys but mine seem fine and I wipe them down with a paper towel and thin them with IPA like every two weeks. The only issue I had was with the Roccat Swarm software. I've tested Roccat Kone and this keyboard on two of my computers and a friend's, and Swarm freezes (causing devices to freeze) for a good minute every half hour or so on all three. KB works fine without a swarm so I removed it so there is no light control, which is sad. I reinstall it every few weeks because they update it often but it's still buggy, I hope they figure it out. Update 1: I've tried it on 4 different computers, the keyboard works fine unless you're running swarm. No matter what I tried: old versions, manual update to the latest version, all 20 USB ports between 2 laptops and 2 desktops. Nothing can keep the swarm from collapsing. That means random crashes or swarm shutdowns and a complete lack of lighting controls, you can't even turn them off. The best part is that the swarm's help button crashes! Don't buy anything that requires a crush.
