I've used three different USB 2.0 hubs for iDevices in the last six months and this is the first one that really works; with caveats: the two 1.2A USB ports that should be i-device ready DO NOT fully charge devices when the Macbook is on; Use "Drip Charge" instead. This means that if you use your devices while they're plugged in, you'll likely find them to charge VERY slowly. D-Link recommends turning off your Macbook to fully charge it (after that it just becomes a standard i-device power adapter). Normal charge time for iPad 32GB via Macbook USB 2.0 port is about 1%/min. With continuous charging, this is approx. 1% / hour; possibly longer (it took all day to go from 93% to 100%). You will also see an iPad not charging warning on your iPad. however, this is described in the documentation (but not in the product description); and simply means that the iPad gets very little (almost negligible) charging from the USB port. In other words, D-Link WILL charge both the connected iPhone and iPad simultaneously while the MacBook is on, albeit very slowly. However, it's one of the few devices that lets you plug two iDevices into a USB 2.0 port on your Mac, charge them, and sync them to iTunes. It works seamlessly with my iPhone-5 and iPad-2 as well as a Seagate 1.5TB Portable HD.
