This is a regular desk. The bamboo is fine and the surface is smooth. I don't have any major stains as some other reviews have noted. I appreciate the size as it's easy to use the surface pro 7 and mouse while holding the phone + tablet with my lip which is really smart. What's not smart is the way the legs attach to the tray. Legs become loose (very loose) after unfolding once while standing. This means that when you fold them back, they just pop open. It sounds like a minor inconvenience, but for me it's crucial as the ability to quickly fold and remove turns into *folding legs* *lifting. Well, let your legs dangle. it's not a cool* moment. I haven't removed the screw and bolts, but I suspect they either don't use the lock washer or use it incorrectly. Either way, I'll probably give it away and try something else.
