Good alternative for now
Like everyone else my hood release handle was broken, and I didn't want to run a new one. I bought this and after finding a video on youtube (not hard to find), I installed it. Like everyone else says, the screw will strip and you may or may not get it to stay attached to the cable. Mine is very tight, and I've opened my hood 20+ times in the past week to test it. So far it's holding strong and it's a good alternative. If something changes I will update the review.
- Take your time when installing. It works great and it not noticeable from the original.
- May break easily during installation
