Chain scrubber works great. Whether you use cast iron skillets once a week or once a month, this set is perfect. However, if you cook primarily with cast iron, DO NOT use the oil from this set. It has an extremely low smoke point. Lower than olive oil. I'm almost embarrassed to say I've used it. The chain washer does its job. Got an old cast iron skillet and was able to heat it up a bit and remove burned bits. Thanks to the oil, this set goes from great to wonderful. Anyone who understands cast iron knows that the seasoning is "baked”, so heating the pan to 400-450 degrees requires oil with a smoke point above that temperature. The oil in this set has a smoke point of around 195 - perfect for rising dough or sun tea. But when it comes to steak, fish, chicken or pork hops, all the qualities of a good cooking oil are lost before this pan even starts cooking it. If you need a camping kit, this is a great kit. But less junk for the serious user.
