I didn't buy it as curtain wire. I bought it because the sunroof drain pipes in my car were clogged and water was leaking through the roof. Well I came across a post somewhere on the forum that suggested using curtain wires as they are flexible and allow you to move around in tight spaces while being stiff enough to get through. Well it worked great! Just slide it until it comes out of the bottom of the drain pipes and voila, no more clogs. Since then I've also found more uses, such as catching electrical cords in places you could never have. For example, I recently had to attach battery-powered GPS to the handlebars of my motorcycle. Well I ran this wire through the frame where there is almost no room because all the stock wiring harnesses go through it too. The curtain wire was thin and strong so I just taped the end of the GPS power cable to the curtain wire and pulled it through so how does it have an elastic band? Coating, you don't have to worry about scratching anything. The project was completed quickly and cleanly as it matches the bike's stock wiring. I'm sure I'll find many more uses for it. Definitely recommend keeping this handy if you're a mechanic, you'll thank me later ;)
