Enhanced Kuat V2 Hitch Bike Rack for 2 Bicycles Review

This rack is a real eye-catcher. absolutely love it. worth your money. It's easy to install. Rugged as hell and backed by a lifetime guarantee. It is also possible to add more bikes. As for the hitch mounted racks, I don't think you could find much better for the price.

Replaced a 5 year old Yakima with this one - Yakima was good it's really great Lighter, better materials, better design - this company is really innovative in everything including packaging. It's VERY difficult to put some of the pieces together because they fit so tightly together, but when they're together it works like a charm

Thank you Kuat for sending me a new anti-rattle tooling chamber cam free of charge after I applied too much torque and broke it. Kuat's customer service was fantastic, otherwise don't apply too much torque to the anti-rattle screw with the special hex tool provided that was provided by Kuat! 4 stars so far!

I like everything about it except the thin (included) clutch pin. The large hole in the bike rack mount does not line up with the large hole in the hitch mount. So you can't use a 5/8 inch clutch pin. I have a locking pin for extra security but I can't use it. I will be drilling the holes on the bike rack to match my hitch holes.

Great stand. It would be five stars, but nowhere does it state that the 1-1/2" version's design to work with an adapter means the pin hole is offset from the normal position. This means you can only use the small pin provided and not the locking pin. (Maybe the expensive lock that Kuat sells will work with this?) Had I known about this I would have bought the 2" version.

Very well built and serves its purpose perfectly. I've been using the Kuat Transfer 1 bike rack for a year and it's been great! I went to Bike 2 and was not disappointed. Easy to assemble and install, and the adjustable tension design in the vehicle clutch has been well thought out and beautifully executed. Very strong and tight rides on my car. No knocking or bouncing. Very satisfied and highly recommended!

I bought because I had just bought a carbon frame bike and noticed that traditional bike mounts can damage the frame. It's that easy to use. Place the bike in the holders, pull the hook on the front wheel, buckle up at the back and you're done. No longer than 10 seconds. If you put a second bike in, they won't touch, so you don't have to worry about scratching your bike. When you're not transporting your bike(s), it folds easily and doesn't take up much space. I highly recommend this product.

I have been using this rack for over 6 months and am finally writing this review. I used it regularly for two bikes. I love this rack because it's all I need and nothing else. It's very durable and well made without being too heavy or bulky. I love that it has three positions and I use them all. All three positions are securely fixed and work great. I really like that I have easy access to the "Pedal" button that allows me to adjust the position when the rack is loaded with two bikes. Great…

The rack comes with 2 handles, each of which needs to be attached to your arm to secure your bike. Each handle has a knob to adjust. There should be a tension spring under each button. A spring on one of the handles was loose inside the case rendering the knob and handle unusable. Because the housing that houses the spring is sealed with rivets, there is no way to access the spring to reinstall it. Now I have to return the $400 bike rack as I could easily fix it if the grip body was screwed or…

Thule roof rack makes it so much easier! Thule required me to use a stepladder and I climbed onto my bike to put it on and off the car roof. When I went to the car wash, I had to take the trunk off the roof of the car, which was also a major operation. Needless to say the bike ride was a real pain! Kuat is a huge improvement as it is very easy to remove and install. Assembling the bike is almost effortless and I look forward to riding it on many of my rides this year. Kuat is a quality product,
