Review on 🍴 Sharp 24-inch Black Stainless Steel Microwave Drawer with 1.2 cu. ft. Capacity - SMD2470AH by Michael Olsen

We have been using this microwave for more than a year. It's beautiful, easy to use and clean, and very affordable. We bought a black stainless steel model to match our other kitchen appliances. Although the foil was nice to look at, it scratched the black stainless steel fairly easily. Too bad this film wasn't more durable or at least easier to repair. While the microwave has enough power to reheat food, it's a bit underpowered compared to some of the newer tabletop microwaves and takes a little more time. for reheating food than the instructions on the food packaging state. This microwave is closer to the 900-950W range, while most meals currently expect 1000-1100W. In the worst case, this increases the cooking time by around 30-60 seconds. It's not bad, you just have to plan. The food cooks fairly evenly and we haven't had any issues with food burning. The input keyboard is easy to read and use. However, the extra steps required to use some of the special keys (e.g. to heat drinks) require a look at the label under the keypad hidden behind the door. So you should be able to read it before you close the door, and since you're already a microwave you'll have to bend down to see it. It's like they took a counter-height device and left it alone, rather than adapting it to work under the counter. Again, it doesn't get in the way, but it would have made the experience even better. Availability at the highest level. That was the main reason we bought it. We didn't want another microwave to take up countertop space, so we initially considered over-the-stove microwaves. However, as the wife was disabled and the young child used the microwave, the hazard of having to reach over your head to grab hot and potentially heavy objects didn't work for us. It is much easier and safer to remove hot and heavy dishes from under the countertop. After being spoiled by the under counter microwave I see no other way out.
