You can't see them at all under the swimsuit until you pull them up to about mid-waist (thankfully my daughter hasn't complained as she wasn't used to wearing such high underwear before). I've noticed that some days when we're dancing they seem to slide down if we don't tuck them under her tights properly, but my 7 year old daughter says they're comfortable and even if you can see them they're naked enough are not super obvious. Glad we found them when she went to ballet school but they are a bit overpriced.
