If you mainly use it to collect crumbs and the like, it's great. I bought this for my mum who takes care of 2 kids who love leaving crumbs everywhere and it really helped keep the ants away. My mom isn't very tech savvy so the remote helps with that, my 7 year old nephew can use it too. It doesn't have WiFi, but you can use it on a schedule. For what you pay for I think it's worth it, it saves you the time of having to pull out your broom and dust pan. Does not pick up wet items but picks up crumbs and crackers well. During the cleaning, some items fly away, but the vacuum cleaner returns and collects them.
