Awesome Handlebar: Sport

Satori NOIRETTE Plus 31.8 x 660mm Bike Handlebar My hybrid bike came with upright handlebars that basically stay "straight or flat across". For me, this means that no matter where I put my hands on the steering wheel, I have the same "body-to-handlebarโ€ distance, so my body position stays the same. I bought these bars because they give me a different reach/feel and allow me to change (stretch) the position of my body when I change the position of my hands on the bars. This allows me to sit more upright and relaxed on the ends or edges of the handlebars. When I bring my hands closer to the center of the handlebar or stem, I stretch more and lean forward. And when I'm riding long distances that are mostly straight, I can get aerodynamic with my hands on the stem. It depends on the "right bike fit", top tube length, seat tube angle, saddle etc. of the respective bike. (and each rider) how much "movement and stretch" each person can make or get as their hands move across the bars, as long as they don't put too much material along the bars to prevent grip change. Positions etc. But it's great for me to have that (flexibility)! I would consider/classify this handlebar as an amazing offering for hybrid/commuter bike riders. They are relatively light and offer some variety of hand/body positions. Especially for long rides where flat and/or upright handlebars keep your body basically in the "same position" all the time. "boring", "stagnant" or "blocked" when driving (for long (or) distances). Big plus! Good luck and happy holidays! November 29, 2018
