I was looking for a lightweight, low voltage dryer for my short and fine hair. I like this one because the handle is in the middle, which distributes the weight better than dryers with a handle on one end. The second fan speed setting is spot on, and with that and a diffuser I can dry my hair quickly and get some "fluffiness" in my hair. It's a little louder than ideal, but since it dries my hair in about a minute, I can live with that. Made in China if that doesn't suit you. But the design is superior to others I've tried.
