Works great as a float switch controller.

I have a small pump that empties the collection tank. I installed a simple float switch, but the tank is small enough that the water level rises sufficiently from the backflow created when the pump is turned off. I put a check valve on the line, which made it better, but still stopped the pump from running all the time. Not good for the pump and not achieving anything. I installed a DROK Time Delay Controller and was initially disappointed as all program modes require the switch to be turned off to reset the time cycle. This means if the water level is above the float switch, the delay turns off the pump and waits for the trigger to fire again. This will never happen as the water level is above the switch. One solution is to make the delay long enough to ensure the water gets under the switch, but that means it can run dry. This is also bad for the pump. The explanation of the program modes is a little confusing, especially program mode 7. It doesn't seem to describe what I need, but it does exactly what I need. I set the delay to 2 seconds. If the switch is still activated at the end of the delay, the relay will remain open and the pump will remain on. So now it keeps running until the water level drops enough for backflow from the pump to start, but not enough to empty the tank, causing the pump to run dry and lose its charge. It's cheap and covers all security features. I now have several DROK components and they all seem to be very reliable. Now I decide on a brand.
