Find out it's made for travel. It's very well made and folds compact enough to fit in your carry-on when traveling by plane (folds down to about 14 inches). There are sturdier options, but if you want a good tripod that folds up, this is a great option. The legs are thicker than most in its class. This is a quality construction. The ball head is suitable for most small lenses. I exchange ball heads for BE-126 from above. I'm sure the ball head is ok, but I prefer the top head with a locking knob. This is my go-to tripod for when I'm on a plane and need a lightweight option for the city. I would recommend it, but I understand that if this is going to be your only tripod for all occasions, this may not be the best option.
