Great for regular progression from a regular Rubik's Cube.
My son loves the Rubik's Cube and is very good at solving a regular cube. In the next step, it was a big challenge for him: the algorithm is the same, but the mirror edges on the sides add enough complexity to the solution without causing undue frustration. If your child has learned how to solve a regular brick and is looking for a different challenge, I would say this is a great next step.
