Advances in digital signal processing (DSP) technology have really made these radios a lot better than they were just a few years ago. There are several manufacturers of radios of this type on Revain; probably with the same performance (which was much better than I expected), so the price was the deciding factor for this purchase. It works very well and picks up both the local WB station and FM stations quite clearly. AM is a bit above average for this type of radio (I have a Terk Indoor AM Advantage to improve the performance of any AM radio). The LED flashlight is also very bright. The only complaint is that it uses the cellphone's battery (although the charger will charge it for a while if it runs out) and there's no way to put AA/AAA batteries in it. However, at this price point (currently $15.95), it's easy to say that this little gem represents the best value for this type of radio right now.
