Read other reviews about "how well it works". After testing it several times, I noticed a very important design flaw in its construction, due to which I am returning it without further use. CRITICAL DESIGN FAILURE: The ONLY thing holding the suction straws off the lid is the foam used for both insulation and insulation. correct direction of airflow to the intake straws. DO NOT screw the lid into the cup if the ice is blocking the rotation of the inlet straws in the cup wall! If the lid is screwed into the cup by force, it will compress and eventually the foam will DESTROY. Straw through the ice reduces the effectiveness of the styrofoam. I don't see this product staying effective beyond 2 years of regular use because of this issue. If they knew how to attach the straws to the lid more securely (e.g. with screws) this product would have a much longer lifespan.
