These fairy lights are amazing! I downloaded the Magic Home Pro app and set it up quickly. Make sure your phone is set to the 2.4GHz network to set it up, otherwise it won't work. After setup I went back to my 5GHz network and everything worked for me. So a few things. They are bright and very colourful. You can use the app to choose different colors. When I chose the center of the color wheel, which should have given a paler version of the color (purple versus light violet), nothing changed for me. However, you can choose the brightness level. They cannot reproduce warm white, the yellow area is a bit weaker and tends towards green. Bright white has a touch of blue or a little pink, it is difficult to get true white color. However, they are not advertised for white (rgbcw) and I didn't notice, so I just discovered it late and I think you should know. But as advertised they are rbg and they do everything they claim and the colors are beautiful! My teenage son loves the music sync feature and it can also be synced to voices/ambient noise in your room via your phone's mic. I think this is a brilliant feature that many more expensive lamps don't have. The remote I received didn't work right away so I replaced the battery. Now it works. In any case, I plan on controlling them with my phone or voice, so the controller was just a bonus. The app was pretty easy to understand and connect to my echo dot. I downloaded it to my iPhone and iPad and my son's phone. The favorite settings you choose are not saved on other devices, so I had to adjust them twice. The only feature I would like to have in the app is something like scenes that you can create in Philips Wiz bulbs. Otherwise I like this app better. I like that I can specify a range of colors to cycle through and not be limited to a full rainbow. However, the music sync seems to pick its own random colors. Bottom line: if you don't need warm white and want smart RGB lights, this is awesome! I plan to buy more and buy some Magiclight bulbs too!
