The price made me buy it at 109.00 for a solid camera, it's very good. We also had this Fuji and I have to say it's a bit better and cheaper. I make a living from photography and honestly I don't need a point and shoot camera, I bought one for my wife. And I really like the picture quality you can get if you know what you're doing. The controls and menu navigation are very simple, there are some fun features like 3D photos etc and videos are pretty good for taking little clips of babies and more. We have a lot of kids and so far they have managed to break all their other cameras as it is waterproof and shockproof. Thought this would be a good choice for those with kids who can get their hands on the camera. And now that I think about it, even if you're a serious photographer and don't feel like taking your DSLR to a kayak or out in the rain for example, you can get pretty decent shots. Of course there are some really good compact cameras out there from Canon and Nikon but for the price they are worth it.
