My birds love to mix this with other food BUT I have to chop it up first. I will explain. A whole grain diet is the equivalent of constantly feeding birds fast food. It fills you up, but it's not the healthiest either. ZuPreem is like feeding them something but my birds don't want to eat pellets. And I see MANY other people saying the same thing. When I put these pellets in the feeder straight from the bag, they don't get touched. However, I think I've found something that works for my feathered friends. I mix the granules in a bowl of water and let the granules soften. It's all about the consistency of wet dog food. THEN I mix it with a fresh chop. My birds love it! I make a huge batch of fresh chops + zupreem pellets, roll them into "meatballs" and freeze them. I thaw the balls as needed. My birds are getting all the vitamins they need and are thriving! Their colors are vibrant and they flutter all day long. I will definitely continue to buy these pellets as my bird's staple food and add them to fresh chop for a healthy bird seed mix.
