They love it! good for birds

I know pellets are good for birds but I hate the ones in seed mixes. I switched to seeds without them. My vet convinced me to try the pellets again in a separate bowl. I've tried several brands. It's the only thing they like. I sometimes mix other varieties with these and later find them at the bottom of the plate after eating the ZuPreem. I have tried ZuPreem pellets with young cockatiels fed ZuPreem baby food. They didn't like it. It must be a matter of nature. My adult cockatiels love them…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Corn based manure - don't buy if you want healthy parrots.

Bought these before spending more time learning about the pellets. These and many other bird seed brands are nothing more than corn litter. It's not great, maybe as a starter pellet, but I would never keep birds on it for more than a month or two. If you want real quality, with the best workmanship and ingredients, choose TOP. Pellets should also make up 1/4 or less of your parrot diet. If you have no idea what to feed your pets, then you need to do more research. This creature should live much

Budgies love it!

My parrots love ZuPreem natural bird seed and I love that the pellets are not colored. I think this bird seed is as healthy as it gets: it's perfectly safe to eat and contains all the nutrients a non-breeding bird needs for a daily diet. (Please also feed your birds nutritious green and leafy vegetables every day for optimal bird health.) If your birds are used to eating only seeds, they will be unhealthy and have dull and unattractive feathers. To get them to eat pellets, don't feed them…

My birds like to mix it with other food, but.

My birds love to mix this with other food BUT I have to chop it up first. I will explain. A whole grain diet is the equivalent of constantly feeding birds fast food. It fills you up, but it's not the healthiest either. ZuPreem is like feeding them something but my birds don't want to eat pellets. And I see MANY other people saying the same thing. When I put these pellets in the feeder straight from the bag, they don't get touched. However, I think I've found something that works for my…

No more seed junkie budgies!

It took my rescue parrot about a month to get these pellets but now he seems to love them. At first I don't think he recognized them as food (even when I mixed the pellets with the seeds - he just ate the seeds and left the pellets) and he cried bloody murder for his dose of seeds; So I put a few tablespoons of pellets in my coffee grinder (or you can use a magic bullet blender) to grind them up, put the pellets in its feeder and added a few drops of water. I mixed, added a teaspoon of seeds…

  • Absolutely amazing!
