Bought these brushes to apply CHALK PAINT to some cabinets I've built. The brushes have shorter handles than I expected but that's my problem as I didn't read the full description. MATTE PAINT is (extra) thick, so the brushes used must be attached to ALL the bristles of the brush, allowing each of the brushes (chalk or wax) to apply paint without leaving bristles on top of the applied paint. Pulling the bristles out of this thick paint will destroy the paint's effect without reapplication. There are other brushes that I think work much better.
