Review on BROAN NuTone BCDF130SS Glacier Stainless Steel Convertible Range Hood with Light and Exhaust Fan - Under Cabinet by Jeff Warne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to install

I've had the hood for about a month now. It was easy to install and fit my space perfectly. I replaced the microwave with convection, so just about anything would be better. The light is very bright, didn't know what's cooking in the dark. I would recommend getting a Broan "quiet" baffle. Even though it's plain instead, I can hear it close up, but that suits me. I don't think the lowest fan setting does anything to remove heat and odors. , I find that the middle and highest work well. The template was fantastic. I used it to mount the fan and also install air ducts. I used an 8" round stencil to mark holes in the closet, holes in the ceiling and even the roof. cut off. The only thing to deal with was the "simple hanging brackets". Once the lights went out and I "got it" they worked great. I called support twice during installation and they were great. The only thing I don't like are the buttons. You have to scroll through all the settings to turn off the fan and lights. Also, the kitchen fan was originally so sensitive to heat that it would turn on even when I wasn't cooking. It seemed like the temperature sensor stopped working when I manually turned it off. I think if I unplug it and plug it back in it might restart. But I still don't want the fan to be on all the time. After having it for about a couple of weeks, I had to press the fan button 5 or 6 times to turn it on. But it only happened once. My kitchen is about 10 x 12 which is 300 cubic feet per minute. Knowing how this fan works I would probably buy one with at least 400 cfm. I am happy with this fan.
