This is the only surge protector that will prevent my Gold's Gym treadmill from turning off (GFCI sockets, homemade 2003). I have had a treadmill for almost 5 years and have tried several surge protectors. Nothing helped. So I just started storing clothes on it and stopped using it. It was frustrating having to go to my "hot" garage and flip the breaker every time I wanted to exercise. This is especially exacerbated when you don't "want" to exercise anyway. So now I have no more excuses. I've been using it for about a month with no problems. Super happy. I also use it with a smart socket. I just say "treadmill on" and you're good to go.
