Overall I like these screening pads. However, I have a small problem with them: because they are rectangular, it's not very easy to tell which direction to put them on. They have a little elastic tie in one direction that I use to dictate how to place them, but I end up laying them down one layer at a time. I think this is an easy fix and could be considered a design issue, hence I'm deducting a star. Others have noticed that they show tears from cat scratches. That's true, but in my experience these holes are relatively small and easy enough to turn if you change them once a day or at most every other day as it should (for at least 2 cats). re-sifting so you're still getting a lot of value out of it. This is only a big problem if I leave it for more than a few days, which is definitely not a product defect.
