Just ordered a small 21 inch comfortable perch for my parrots. It fits in the cage and the birds can hold it comfortably and love it. Now they'll be happy to sleep better, although the plastic perch that comes with the cage isn't bad. I'm lucky I ordered the right size. The size on the website has no information and is a bit confusing. First, perch are classified by thickness: small, medium, and large. From my research on the internet, small is 1/2 inch in diameter, medium is 3/4 inch, and large is 1 inch. But my little one is actually 5/8" in diameter, so I'm assuming the actual diameter is 1/8" larger for all three thickness categories. You need to determine the correct diameter of the perch depending on the type of pet you have. As for the length, you need to choose according to the cage size. These perches are pliable, if a bit stiff. You can set up a perch to traverse the cage from one side to the opposite side or to the adjacent side. Ignore other sizes like Large 2" H x 7" W x 18.5" D which makes no sense. In a word, define "Small", "Medium" or "" Large" and then select the length. Perch deserves a 5 star rating but there is no size specification on the website, 1 star is deducted.
