Using HDMI + USB works very well with my laptop. Touch works well too. A Nintendo Switch with USB C also works, but requires additional power (e.g. when using a power bank). Keep in mind that it must have USB C 3.1 to use it with your phone and even then not every phone may work. It's not a monitor issue, it's a phone issue. I have a Xiaomi 12 Pro and it doesn't work, I've tried several other Samsung phones and it doesn't work either. None of my phones support MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) or DisplayLink Alternate Mode. In addition, the viewing angle is excellent. It has an OSD menu to enable or disable HDR. Windows says it supports HDR. The only problem is in portrait mode, the OSD buttons are on the opposite side of the cable and are depressed when standing on that side.
