I was skeptical at first because I know AN fittings have an anodized finish that is easy to scratch and I wasn't sure the adjustable wrench would fit. This one actually works pretty well, and if you're short on space, it can replace a whole set of hose wrenches. There are markings on the side for male and female ends, and they pretty much match the size you need. I had to tweak the caption a bit, but this is just a guide and you don't have to use it at all. Although I already have a set of wrenches for AN fittings, I only have one of each size. Sometimes I had to use a regular adjustable wrench on the male side to hold it while tightening the fitting. This always causes scratches, and if you put tape on a wrench, it will slip off. This wrench gives me a good grip on both fittings without scratching anything. Small cutouts for your fingers provide a slightly better grip. I think they help a little, I'd get by with or without them. The tool is generally quite light and made of aluminum, so you will find it difficult to remove the fittings and can sometimes cost more than this tool. I have tightened about 10 bolts with this wrench and am happy with the results. None of the hardware is scratched, and the tool is not yet loose or showing signs of wear. Nice tool but I would also recommend buying a dedicated AN wrench set if you do a lot of work with these fittings. If you're only going to install fuel lines on your car once, it's probably fine, and it's good to have in your toolbox if you come across this type of delicate fitting.
