I wanted to love this tablet but my purchase was very similar to my online dating experience. On paper, this tablet has some great features; excellent screen resolution, good sound, quad-core processor, HDMI slot (a rare attribute for most on the market). Judging by the photos, it was a good solid device that will help you get through many moments of boredom and help you organize your life. But, like online dating, when this tablet came to me in person, it was utter nonsense. Don't get me wrong, I liked the ASUS interface. It offered some nice perks, like changing the sound depending on whether you're listening to music, watching a movie, or gaming. I also liked the blue background on the keyboard. The bundled ones like the Asus SuperNote were a nice addition. Upon arrival and right out of the box, this tablet didn't even connect to the internet. I received it from the manufacturer and figured that anything that could go wrong was fixed. By the looks of it, Asus fixes its tablets just as well as the tablets themselves. As any tablet owner knows, without Wi-Fi, you're effectively holding a rock. After reading more reviews I saw that this is a common Notepad problem. So if it wasn't ready to use out of the box, it would most likely happen in the future. Also, it keeps getting stuck at Jelly Bean 4.2 as Asus doesn't seem to be updating them anymore. My heart has been broken. This item will be promptly returned from where it came from. I'm already looking forward to seeing my new, very up-to-date Samsung Tab 4 running 4.4. Spend a little more and get something that you know will work and last. Something you can love instantly.
