Review on πŸ”Œ Efficient Front Panel Header Extension Motherboard for Enhanced Connectivity by Shalom Germann

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works somehow. on USB cables

So, I didn't install this cable straight out of my bag just because I'm not a fan of those third-party cables, but since this technology is more advanced, I decided to give it a try. Spring. I have tried and my results are small at best and I will present my evidence as such. I am currently using an ASUS z270i and have redirected the front USB 3.0 ports (2 total) to it and now only one is working. Both ports were previously confirmed to work with the legacy USB 2.0 connection. Of course it worked as soon as I plugged in the cable, so at least I had a connection. It just wasn't 100%. I'm no expert, but this is very, very first generation technology, so I just see it as an opportunity to iron out mistakes and get some second generation cables that work just fine. in general. A star. With my older ports, I get more reliable connections with less chance of data corruption. so much for advanced technology. ****Updated after realizing I needed to update my USB drivers. *****

Pros
  • There is no official release of specifications for the USB 3.1 connector (at the time of writing this article), but the first motherboard with this is ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX FORMULA, STRIX Z270I/Z270G, etc.
Cons
  • disappears
