Review on Lippert Happijac 182905 Direct-To-Frame Mount Tie-Down System: Secure Your Cargo with Ease by Joe Vazquez

I don't know what the other reviewer did when installing his but mine was attached via a cross bar to the frame bracket where the bed attaches to the frame rail . If you feel compelled you can try running the drill right through the frame box, but it will be difficult to insert a nut there. My location was on a Dodge Ram 2500, it was perfect and light weight and the frame WAS installed. All in all I found it to be a well thought out product. Some of the screws are over tightened, but I'm picky. I will be upgrading to a newer Ford F250. I hope it will be as easy as the old Dodge. Jeff
