I actually bought two scoops. This and the rounder aluminum with softer edges. The one with round edges is huge. And I have small bags of popcorn so I decided to give it a try despite the reviews saying this bag is super spicy. It arrived in good condition and quickly (I have a Prime). There is a "protective film" on the inside, which was very difficult to remove, but I managed to do it anyway. Successfully withdrawn. It's drilled on both sides so you can make it a left or right server, which is nice. The integers drilled into it should help unexpanded kernels fall through and reduce their count in your portion packs. This fits well in small pockets and charges well. The edges are VERY sharp. But I don't waste time rubbing the edges with my fingers, so that's fine with me. It would be nice if they softened the edges a bit, hence 1 star deduction. Although it's stainless steel, I hand wash, being careful (sharp edges) because of the handle. I suppose you could unscrew the handle and throw it in the dishwasher, but you'll likely end up breaking the screw, so I wouldn't recommend that. All in all, it works really well if you think you're handling it right. If you don't have very small children filling bags, I think it's worth a try.
