When I first got it it was very noisy and the resistance dial didn't seem to do anything. I removed the slotted plastic side of the case and found that the nut and washer that were supposed to hold the metal resistance plates had fallen off during shipping. I put the nut and washer back on and everything worked great after that. I'm happy with how durable it is and how well the resistance works, as well as the noise level. If you have similar problems, all you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a wrench to fix it. Three stars because they had to tighten the nut so it wouldn't fall off easily
