You get what you pay for.
It's cheap. These are plastic tubes woven back and forth. It consists of two layers and stones/furniture separate the fabric. Still, I bought it to cover the muddy gravel at our RV park under the hot sun. Between my kids and the weather I only expect it to last one season so cheap weaving isn't a problem for me as I don't think a more expensive rug would look any better in the sun/in place.
