I don't like regular Chap-Ice lip balm. In my opinion, it's too "soft" and comes off the lips too easily, requiring frequent reapplication, plus it can smear on the upper lip or chin area, especially on children, which is very noticeable with colored options like cherry . This medicated lip balm is better as its formula has a slightly firmer feel and stays on your lips a bit better. Also, it's not painted, so if kids smear it on their faces, it won't be as noticeable. I would still prefer a denser formula, but it's "pretty good".
