It does what it says on the tin. I've used them to convert standard thermocouple plugs for use with USB data loggers, which are really great tools for measuring and recording temperature over time. I use them in my thesis to measure the temperature of ovens and they hold up well and bond together. To attach standard thermocouples to it, it is necessary to perform a very limited number of operations: unscrew the connector, cut and strip the contact wires of the thermocouples by wrapping them around the connectors and twisting them again. Super simple but requires minimal assembly.
