In an attempt to make my household products more sustainable, I bought these loofahs with the walnut scrub so I had both a milder and more aggressive scrub. I also use Redecker brushes when I need something with a pen. They are great for everyday dishwashing and can be used for almost anything. It's soft enough to be gentle on a non-stick surface and fibrous enough to handle tougher tasks. It also takes a long time. I've used Scotch "natural" sponges in the past and they didn't last very long. However, they have not yet shown any wear. They are not as absorbent as a traditional sponge, but still very useful. I will say that this will be my new everyday sponge!
