This disc is very light but the construction is solid and strong. It comes with a USB cable that plugs into a special slot underneath the drive. A very handy fix for missing cords, but I'd take care of that as I don't see how to replace it. Not only is it compatible with Xbox, but it can be used with almost anything as external storage. Both PC and Mac. What is really impressive is the speed! I don't know what's behind it, but it's noticeably faster than any of my other drives. 500GB is a good size for some heavy games, but not many. However, this varies from person to person and their needs. What I really need is 1TB and I have one, but I use it for speed and proper cable management.
