I bought three a few years ago. I edit a lot of video and I like to save data for a specific project together on a flash drive and then upload it to my computer while I work on projects. I use two hard drives at the same time. The third was in a drawer about a month ago. I found my husband's childhood home videos and digitized them. He began editing them to put them in chronological order. Today I took his SanDisk drive to copy the contents to a backup drive. The hard disk was 74 GB in size. The copy crashed 10 minutes before completion. My Mac showed that three files were corrupted and could not be copied. I tried reading files from a SanDisk drive with 2 different programs that failed to read the drive. In fact, my Mac froze and I had to restart. The hard drive did not show up after the reboot. I reinstalled the drive into a USB port - no luck. I tried it on my husband's computer - to no avail. Luckily the data was stored elsewhere so no data was lost. But now I have a $30 piece of plastic that took about a month to make. Worse, I don't trust the other person at all. I have 2 disks. As I write this, I'm making sure that whatever I have on those drives is duplicated elsewhere. I tried reading files from a SanDisk drive with 2 different programs that failed to read the drive.
