I bought an iKirkLiten to provide an extra warning so I can safely ride my road bike at 200 miles a month, mostly on Florida sidewalks. Where I live in Jacksonville, there is a good network of rarely used sidewalks, which keeps me from driving on the main boulevards. Although they have a posted speed limit of 45 mph, most cars exceed this by 5 or 10 mph. The greatest hazard is crossing in front of the entrance to any of the many shopping malls, or even the many private driveways; Vehicles will cross the pedestrian/bicycle lanes without stopping until they get onto the roadway to observe vehicles on the boulevards. A flash of bright light and my horn draw motorists' attention, causing them to stop before crossing my path. It's easy to direct the light in any direction as needed without disturbing the lights. I've been using it happily for about 60 hours since February. It doesn't seem to charge as well when it was freshly installed, but it's very easy to remove it to charge if the warning at the top of the display changes color. I have used it sparingly for night cycling but bought a brighter light for after dark occasions.
