. Directions are illustrations only, not detailed nor great. The little wrench is terrible. It's just too big and doesn't grip the nuts very well, so I ended up using an adjustable wrench. At first I put the VESA plate upside down, but then I realized my mistake. Here are my installation takeaways: - Don't over tighten as you will need to adjust the length and position of the lever. Small hooked things should also not be tightened completely. - Do not put more than one screw in the sliding metal arms. I started out by putting two on each hand, but ended up using only one on each hand. I think adding them is easier than removing them. - Maybe it's obvious to everyone else, but I didn't realize that the different length bolts for the hooks have to match the different depths of the monitor. Glad I used a medium length bolt on my first try! - The small buttons that cover the studs on the hooks have an inner pin that is longer than the others. This needle goes into the groove on the hook. Don't waste your time putting this button in the hole. Overall I think this is a good product. It holds the monitor perfectly and attaches to the VESA plate of my monitor mount to make it work. Just make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver, an adjustable wrench and a good hour to play with it.
