I needed a new hard drive for an older Dell Inspiron (Vostro) 1520 laptop, so I purchased this one. It only supports SATA II, but the SSD performed as if it were a native, which is especially important given that the replacement of the hard drive in this laptop was done in a smart way - all you need to do is pull out the compartment cover and the disk itself to figure out how to change the flash drive. It does not support SATA III at all. As a direct consequence of this, even after installing SATA II, the computer speeded up almost instantly. Because of this, I made the conscious decision not to go with a larger SSD for it. This portable computer should only be used as an emergency back-up. I was unable to start the hardware visual acceleration, and without it, the demand on a weak processor is rather heavy, which has led to its current state, which is rather poor even for the modern Internet. However it is more than sufficient for some straightforward text writing and browsing the internet (preferable without video at this point).
