I bought these specifically to use with my new enamelled cast iron frypan from Staub, who recommended silicone accessories to avoid scratching the smooth interior. They're light years better than the old nylon cooking spoons I used for non-stick cookware. The long, weighted handles provide plenty of stirring power and keep my hands warm. The narrow bowls and thin rims fit into the bottom and corners of my pans and make stirring easier. (Other silicone spoons I have are too thick to scratch the corners.) In fact, they resemble high quality stainless steel spoons without the risk of scratching non-stick surfaces. Silicone-coated handles do not overheat. I haven't used them long enough to speak about their durability - to be honest I don't expect them to last as long as my stainless steel kitchen spoons - but for now they're great. A small caveat: the bowl of the skimmer is smaller and shallower than we'd like, but that's not a problem unless you're shooting huge chunks of meat, veggies, etc.
