They should last several months with regular use
The rubber has started to tear, not fully broken yet. Not happy with the flat cord, not flexible enough to lay comfortably and gets uncomfortable around the neck, my fault for having to go with a round cord. The black rubber parts stay in any case, I like it. But as others have said, they are starting to crack.
